Documents for use in Kenya should be legalised by the Kenya High Commission, except in the case of statutory declarations made by persons wishing to marry in Kenya which have been authenticated by an English notary public.
The fee is £5 per document and legalisation is expected to take 48-72 hours.
The document to be legalised must first be certified by the UK Foreign and Commonwealth Office where the fee for certification is £75 per document.
A covering letter is required if the documents are not submitted in person and a photocopy of each document to be legalised is in all cases required.
