Documents for use in the United Arab Emirates (Abu Dhabi, Ajman, Dubai, Fujairah, Ras al-Khaimah, Sharjah and Umm al-Qaiwan) require legalisation by the Consular Section of the Embassy of the United Arab Emirates.
The fees per document are as follows:
Certificate of Registration or Incorporation £410, Memorandum & Articles of Association £410, Company Record of Achievements £410, Certificate of Good Standing £400, Private/General Power of Attorney £30, All other documents £30, Urgent fee £30 per document.
The document to be legalised must first be certified by the UK Foreign and Commonwealth Office where the fee for certification is £75 per document.
Note: The Consular Section of the Embassy of the United Arab Emirates will not legalise documents from Israel.
Legalisation of bills of sale to be used in the United Arab Emirates is obtained through the Arab-British Chamber of Commerce.
The fee is £24.75 + VAT plus the consular fee (approx. £410 each). Two photocopies of each document are required and the name and address of the consignee or agent must appear on each document.
