Documents for use in Uruguay require legalisation by the Uruguayan Consulate.

The fee is £72.24 per document (make cheques payable to “Consulate of Uruguay” and legalisation is expected to take 72 hours (an urgent service is available for 50% extra).

The document to be legalised must first be certified by the UK Foreign and Commonwealth Office where the fee for certification is £75 per document.

The Consulate requires a photocopy of each document to be legalised.

From December 2012 the document to be legalised will only need to be certified by the UK Foreign and Commonwealth Office
